Local business woman nominated for National Awards
Amanda Kate of Amanda Kate Kinesiology has been nominated for the 2019 AusMumpreneur Awards.
The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The AusMumpreneur Network celebrate and recognize Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
Amanda Kate is a highly-trained Kinesiologist who assists clients going through transformative life stages dismember who they’ve been told they should be and remember who they are as strong, resilient beings. In the process of removing labels, behaviour and thought patterns, and fears surrounding emotion, people can turn around all areas of their lives from stuckness to find freedom.
Amanda is passionate about holistic health and wellbeing and uses a variety of tools to shift complex trauma out of the body and balance all aspects of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual Self allowing for long-lasting change to be embedded in her client’s lives.
Amanda Kate wants every person to step up and claim their magnificence, live their best life and take passion and joy into their every day. She knows it is possible for everyone, because she has done it in her own life.
Stuck in an emotionally abusive marriage for over 13 years, Amanda felt like an empty shell. Living with chronic fatigue, signs of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Hashimotos, she was unwell, exhausted and at the end of her rope. Declining health, mercurial moods and imbalanced hormones were just the start; depression and anxiety entered, loneliness overwhelmed, and there were times she thought about ending it.
Amanda found kinesiology and one life changing session after another transformed her. Through kinesiology, Amanda identified unhealthy thought processes and self-sabotaging behaviours, addressed and corrected physical and chemical imbalances, and found new ways of being. Within 6 months she was studying kinesiology knowing that her experience would help others.
Less than a year after her first kinesiology session as a client, she had left her marriage and started her life as a single mum. She invested her financial separation money into her education, business and children.
There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Amanda explains, “My job provides flexibility, the ability to facilitate change and the ability to be there for my children as they grow. I couldn’t do anything else with my life – I have found my life purpose and calling”.
It can be challenging to be a successful business woman whilst raising a family and Amanda gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise ”Remember your Why! When things get tough and striving for business growth becomes a challenge remember why you started. Passion is vital for creating a business you love”.
